MSA Automatic Switch Valve (ASV)

The Automatic Switch Valve on the waist belt, to connect a compressed air breathing apparatus like the BD 96 Mini to a factory airline system or cascade air cylinders. Provides air supply if the airline is disconnected or if the external air source fails.

  • Fully automatic change-over valve
  • Automatic switching from external air source to BA and back again
  • Distinct warning signal when air-supplied by BA
  • Warning if BA cylinder is closed
  • Application as emergency air supply
